Eppendorf® Mastercycler® pro and pro S Thermal Cyclers
Thermal cyclers feature heated lids with vapo.protect™ technology to reduce evaporation to a minimum and a freely program-
mable temperature gradient over 12 rows. Triple circuit technology ensures a homogeneous temperature distibution and
enables the generation of specific temperature gradients for PCR optimizations. SteadySlope® technology ensures that the
heating and cooling ramp rates for thermal modules are identical in both gradient and normal operation, and TSP (Thermal
Sample Protection) technology reduces the thermal load on the samples and minimizes the probability of non-specific product
formation during PCR. Expandable to a mini satellite system or network.
The Mastercycler® pro cycler features a robust aluminum block and a gradient range of up to 20°C (36°F).
The Mastercycler® pro S cycler features a silver block that provides the highest temperature control speed and extremely fast
heating and cooling rates, a pulse function for device-driven hot start for avoiding non-specific PCR product formation, and an
extended gradient range of up to 24°C (43.2°F).
Ordering Information: A control panel or CycleManager pro software (both sold separately) is required for operation. Both
the control panel and CycleManager pro software include a connection cable. CAN-Bus connection cables (not included) are
required to link cyclers in an network. For CAN-Bus connection cables, service programs, and other accessories, contact your
VWR representative.
